PR & Communications at UGent Engineering & Architecture
My parents infected me with the travel bug when I was about fifteen, taking me on my first big adventure outside Europe to Thailand. I still remember writing down useful Thai phrases in my very first travel notebook. A few trips later, it was back to Asia, this time to China, a journey that fueled my love for the continent even more.
I studied Oriental Languages and Cultures at Ghent University, specializing in China. That led me to spend an unforgettable year in Shanghai, memories that are still vivid today. Later I added a postgraduate in Trendwatching and certifications in studio photography and Lightroom.
Today I work in PR & Communications at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at UGent, where I've been since 2019. Before that, I held various marketing and communications roles at Milliken Chemical, Gymfed, and other faculties at UGent.
Photography remains my way of capturing the world. I'm the kind of person who sets an alarm to catch the sunrise, waits endlessly for the perfect shot, and lingers around long enough for golden hour. Together with Sander, I documented our travels on Yellow Duo.
At home, I'm a mom of two young boys, which means adventures look a little different now, but the curiosity for the world and its cultures hasn't faded one bit.
Explore, capture, share.
The world is waiting.
